Important Information on the Clockwise Current Account VISA Card

The VISA Debit Card for the Clockwise Current account will be ending 27th Jan. We will launch a new Debit Card late January or early February.

We know this may cause some inconvenience and we will do everything we can to help you until your new card comes.

Your Clockwise Current Account is still active. Any Direct Debit or Standing Orders will continue to be paid without interruption, but you won’t be able to use your Debit Card from the 27th January.

You can still use the Current Account as a transactional account. You can still process money in and out and any money paid into your current account is safe.

The withdrawal of the card is due to a third-party company Engage, who supplies the Debit Card functionality, closing. (If you look at the back of your Debit Card, you will see the Engage logo) You may also receive a letter or email directly from Engage or from Contis Financial Services.

Payments made to your Current Account with your sort code & account number will continue as usual.

Payments made with your 16-digit debit Card number will need to be changed as soon as possible.

What actions do you need to take?

  • For any purchases that you are waiting for a refund, you should aim to finalise any refunds on cards as soon as possible.
  • Please change your details anywhere you use your 16-digit card number – subscriptions such as Netflix or anywhere you get payments sent to your card, like Gambling websites
  • You should destroy your card on or before 27th Jan

What should I not do?

  • There is no need to change any payments you make with Direct Debit or Standing Order
  • You don’t need to change where your benefits or salary is paid.

What if I need to get cash out before my new card arrives?

You can call Clockwise to arrange for money to be available for collection at any UK Post Office free of charge. Learn more: https://www.clockwise.coop/cash-collection/

We will keep you updated with regular information on your account and new Debit Card

FAQ

You should have a new debit card add-on in late Jan/Early Feb. However, there will be a small delay between your current debit card closing and your new debit card from us arriving.

For any purchases that you are waiting for a refund, you should aim to finalise any refunds on cards as soon as possible. Please contact the retailer to arrange this.
