Elaine from Clockwise Credit Union recently visited Together Against Cancer at Troon Way Business Centre, Humberstone Lane, Leicester to present a cheque for £484 to support cancer patients.
Elaine said ” It was my absolute privilege to present a Clockwise Credit Union Community Grant cheque to Valerie Viot, Centre Manager. Together Against Cancer help clients who have cancer or are recovering from cancer by offering a variety of wellbeing sessions. Whilst I was visiting today, a yoga session was taking place and clients were having Hydroxy which gives true hydration and contains a trifecta of nutrients your body needs to heal as it supports the regenerative processes.”
Elaine continued “There is such a warm welcome from Lisa and the staff which instantly relaxes visitors to the centre and details of their events including a family fun day on Saturday 17th August at The Willows pub can be found on their website: www.togetheragainstcancer.co.uk
The Community Grant will purchase a hoover and a shredder, Valerie said “We’re very grateful to Clockwise Credit Union for their support with our essential equipment. As we have been operating for over 7 years, we are seeing a need for more repairs recently. This grant has been very timely and will help us continue delivering the same quality of care to further individuals. It is essential that the centre is clean for vulnerable visitors and the shredder will help maintain confidentiality on a daily basis. Without this equipment, TAC would not be able to continue to maintain their quality standards.”
Together Against Cancer is an international charity which assists in the relief of cancer and similar conditions through education, complementary therapies, grants and public awareness.
